The Federal government has temporarily lifted the suspension placed on two international Humanitarian organizations, Action Against Hunger and Mercy Corps
The government says it is concerned about counter-terrorism efforts and wants all measures in place to support its effort in ending the crisis in the North east hence its action.
On the 20th of September, 2019, the theatre command Operation Lafiya Dole declared Action against Hunger persona non grata for aiding Boko Haram terrorists and the Islamist State Wast Africa by supplying them with food and drugs
About a week after, the Nigerian Army also suspended Mercy Corps over suspicious N29million cash found in its operation vehicle
