A high court in Abuja has imposed a fine of 1 million naira on Busola Dakolo, over her rape allegations against the senior pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly,Biodun Fatoyinbo.
She sued the pastor, and alleged that his action, and his denial in statements, caused her “emotional distress” that affected her marital sex life.
But the presiding judge described it as a “purely sentimental abuse of judicial process.”
He dismissed the case, said Mrs Dakolo wasted the court’s time, and ordered her to pay 1 million naira.
Mrs Dakolo’s lawyer says she’ll go to a superior court to challenge the ruling.
