The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu has congratulated the victors in the governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states.
In a statement released by his office, he says the outcome of the vote shows the people’s belief in the direction President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC wish to take Nigeria.
He praised the growing acceptance of the party, the quality of its leadership and governance, and the credibility of its promise to lead the nation to the Next Level.
Getting down to specifics, Asiwaju Tinubu said the victory in Bayelsa represents a shift in the politics of the state, and that in Kogi, a proof of the confidence in Governor Yahaya Bello’s leadership.
The APC nat’l leader urged the opposition candidates and politicians in Kogi and Bayelsa to rally round their governors and work together in the interests of their two states.
Asiwaju condemned the scattered incidents of violence witnessed in the election in some parts of Kogi State stating that election should celebrate our democratic existence and not occasioned by the loss of life.
