He praised the agency’s management for successfully overseeing the upgrade process of the Laboratory which he said has earned the accreditation of the International Organisation of Standardisation for Quality Management System and the Laboratory Management System.
“This accreditation has given Lagos State a global recognition and acceptance as results generated from this laboratory are consistent and accurate through industry-standard protocols; and in line with best practices obtainable worldwide,” the Governor stated.
The governor urged the management and staff of LASEPA, particularly those that would be charged with the responsibility of operating the Laboratory to do so with utmost professional care and high sense of responsibility.
House of Assembly Committee on Environment, Rotimi Abiru, commended the General Manager of the Agency and other environmentally conscious stakeholders for promoting the protection of the Lagos environment while noting that the action gave credence to LASEPA’s determination to make sure that all State citizens had access to clean air to breathe.
