Enugu state Emergency Management Agency has commenced the distribution of relief materials to the five Communities affected by the recent flood disaster in Uzuwani local government area.
The state coordinator assured that the state government will do its best to sustain and impacting the lives of those affected by the flood.
The Director General of the National Emergency Agency, Nkechi Eneh visited Enugu state with relief materials worth millions of naira to compliment the state government efforts set out to mitigate sufferings of flood victims.

Enugu is listed among 33 other states that will be benefiting from the relief material.
People who mostly harvest rice bemoaned the loss of their farm products, homes and other property destroyed by floods.
The community heads expressed joy at seeing the gesture by the state emergency management agency.
They also want government to go beyond providing them with food material, and requested that more aids be given to compensate for the losses on their farmland.
Over 30,200 persons have been displaced with one Casualty in Enugu state.
The five communities that are mostly affected in the recent flooding are Ogurugu, Igga/Ojjor, Adani, Ogbosu and Eziorah in Ogboli and Mbanaso zone of Uzuwani local government area of the state
