Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates have signed a 2 000 megawatts solar power deal.
This will help solve Zimbabwe’s power deficit once implemented in 18 months.
This agreement comes after the visit of President Mnangagwa to the UAE where he met the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed about the power situation in the country.
President Mnangagwa said power shortages will be a thing of the past in the next one-and-a-half years.
The solar deal will be implemented in phases as the first is the production of 1,000 MegaWatt.
