Two hundred and eight operatives drawn from the Nigerian Air Force and the Police have completed training as Special Forces and Back door Gunners at the Regiment Training Centre.
The training is to shore up their operational efficiency especially in the fight against insurgency.

For several months 162 troops of the Air Force undertook rigorous training as Special Forces while 46 drawn from both the Air Force and the Police
were trained as Backdoor Gunners..
According to the Air Force authorities, the decision to train the troops at this facility which is an extension of a similar facility in Kaduna is to
bring them under the same condition as troops activity involved in Operation Lafiya Dole.
Both the Nigerian Air Force and the Police are optimistic the training would improve their operational efficiency.
