Online publisher and Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore is challenging the federal government’s application to transfer him, and a co-accused from the custody of the Department of State Services, to prison.
Both men said the request is frivolous, vexatious and a contempt of the court.
In their notice of preliminary objection, Sowore and Olawale Bakare said the fresh application is a contravention of the court order directing the DSS to release them.
They’ve been in custody since August, when they were arrested for planning a protest called RevolutionNow; and charged with treasonable felony, fraud, cyber-stalking and insulting President Muhammadu Buhari.
Two separate court orders have been given for their release, both of them ignored.
