Nigeria’s Under-23 soccer team defeated Tanzania 2-0 on Sunday in Ibadan, Oyo State, to advance to the next round of the AFCON qualifying matches.
The Adamasingba Stadium in Ibadan was in a frenzy as the under-23 squad scored twice in the space of five minutes.

Nigeria’s number 10, Oluwatimilehin Abiodun Ogunniyi, scored the first goal of the game at the 63rd minute while the second goal was scored through a penalty kick by Success Makanjuola with jersey number 7.
The Nigerian team was well supported by the mammoth crowd who filled the stadium to the brim, while the state home football club, the Shooting Stars of Ibadan supporters team was also on ground to support the team.
Governor Seyi Makinde and Sports Minister Sunday Dare were also present to observe and support the players.
