Nigeria’s anti graft body, EFCC, said it secured 1,070 convictions between January and November 2019.
The Commission chairman, Ibrahim Magu, disclosed this at the 2019 commemoration of the International Day Against Corruption.
A walk round the streets of Abuja and a summit characterised this year’s celebration.
The EFCC and the Nigeria Shippers Council, as organisers, said the summit is based on the challenge that despite the gains recorded in the fight against corruption in all sectors of the economy, the maritime transport sector has remained vulnerable to unwholesome practices.
