A major shake-up in the Nigerian army has led to the massive redeployment of 15 brigadier-generals and 20 major-generals.
And all have been approved by the Chief of Army Staff, according to a statement by army spokesman, Sagir Musa on Monday.
The highlight of the posting includes the appointment of Major General EO Ogunkale from Command Army Record, Lokoja to Defence Headquarters, as Chief of Defence Standards and Evaluation.
The army’s official statement says the reassignment is necessary, due to a recent promotion of some senior officers.
The statement also added that the posting is a routine exercise carried out to reinvigorate the system for greater professional effectiveness/efficiency
