Angola has planned to refine 360,000 barrels of crude oil a day within five years.
The CEO, Angolan State oil firm,Sonangol says the aim is to reduce imports of crude oil by-products to enable national production meet local needs and export its surplus to neighboring countries.
The new refineries in the country namely Lobito has capacity to refine 200,000 barrels per day, Soyo 100,000 barrels per day and Cabinda 60,000 barrels per day.
It is expected that the domestic market demand be met with current refining capacity around 80,000 barrels per day.
