The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted a request by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to arrest a Briton, Adam Quinn, over his alleged involvement in the P&ID case.
The court held that the arrest order was to enable the Federal Government to immediately commence an extradition process to bring the accused Briton to Nigeria to explain the role he played in the controversial gas supply contract involving Process and Industrial Developments Limited, P&ID.
This comes after a suit between the Federal Government and Goidel Resources Limited, ICIL and James Nolan.
The EFCC had sued Mr Nolan and Mr Quinn, alleging that both men used the two firms, Goidel and ICIL, for money laundering.
Mr Nolan is also said to be a signatory to P&ID accounts.
The court adjourned to the 20th and 21st of January, 2020, for the continuation of trial.
