Liverpool’s duo of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been named in the final shortlist for this year’s African Footballer of the Year award.
They are joined in the three man final shortlist by Algeria’s Captain Riyad Mahrez, who plays for English Champions, Manchester City.
Mane and Salah are favourites for the award after helping Liverpool to win the UEFA Champions League, European Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Mahrez, won the domestic treble with his club English and also captained Algeria to the Africa Cup of Nations title in July, after defeating Senegal in the final.
