Eighteen senior officers of the Osun state police command have been promoted to new ranks.
The officers were decorated in their new positions at the command headquarters in Osogbo.
Speaking at the ceremony, the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Ige lauded the Inspector General of police for the promotion.
He described it as a challenge and a source of motivation to boost the morale of the officers in their various designations.

The Commissioner retires today, the first of January, 2020.
