A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo state, James Tolorunju Ajulo has been kidnapped at Akungba-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government area of the State
Ajulo is a ward chairman of the party in Akoko south west local government.
His abduction is coming two days after a seventy- year old woman, Mrs Fehintola Wewe of was kidnapped at Sabomi, Ese Odo local government area of Ondo state
Ajulo was kidnapped at his residence at Ibaka quarters of Akungba-Akoko on Sunday.
According to sources, the kidnappers stormed Ajulo personal house shortly after his arrival from an outing where the house was ransacked before they took him away.
Ajulo who was one of the factional ward chairmen of the APC at Akoko South-West Local Government Area of the state was driven away in his personal car after the gunmen had ransacked his house.
A political associate of the victim, Tolu Babaleye who confirmed the incident, revealed how the incident happened, noting that “the kidnappers laid an ambush for him in his house.
While stating that the kidnappers are yet to establish contact with the family, Babaleye, a lawyer and APC chieftain, stated that the matter has been reported at the Akungba Police Division.
He also called on the Department of State Service, DSS, Army, Police and Civil Defense Corps to assist to rescue him unhurt.
