Widows of military personnel who paid the supreme sacrifice have been given relief items as part of events to mark this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day
The gesture by the Defence and Police officers’ Wives Association is meant to give succor to the widows.
The Armed Force Remembrance Day will peak with a wreath-laying ceremony on Wednesday.

The annual event brings the spotlight on the contributions of Nigerian military personnel in safeguarding the territorial integrity of the country in the face of internal and external threats.
It also provides an opportunity to take another look at the welfare of the family of the departed soldiers.
