The Federal Government says it did not pay university teachers half salary in October. It consequently dismissed media reports to that effect.
The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, in a statement, described the report as grossly inaccurate, misleading and barefaced distortion of facts.
The Ministry pointed out that members of ASUU were paid their October salary pro-rata and not half salary as the media widely reported.
The pro-rata, it added, was done because they cannot be paid for work not done.
