The embattled All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State, Senator Aishatu Binani has stepped down her position as the party Coordinator, Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in the state.
In a letter to the party leadership in the state, she claimed that the decision followed nullification of the primary that produced her as APC governorship candidate by the Federal High Court Yola, there is a moral need for her to step aside as Tinubu/Shetima state Coordinator pending the determination of Appeal court.m
She urged the party to look inward for interim coordinator pending the outcome of the Appeal court.
The state secretary of the party, Raymond Chidamaa confirmed that the party has received her resignation letter.
He disclosed that the former Deputy Governor of the State, Martins Babale has been appointed interim coordinator of the campaign council in the state.
