The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives has called on the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to immediately wade into the crisis rocking the party in Kano state.
Honourable Alhassan Ado-Doguwa warns that the internal crisis may cause APC its deserving victory in the 2023 general election.
For some time now all has not been well within the ranks of the APC in Kano state and that has continued leading into the 2023 Elections.
The state chapter of the party been torn between factions loyal to the State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje and the G-7 led by a former governor of the state, Ibrahim Shekarau who has since left to join the Peoples Democratic Party.
Alhassan Ado-Doguwa, a staunch loyalist of the Governor, who is also the Majority leader of the House of Representatives has been in the news for the wrong reasons in the last few days.
The Deputy Governorship candidate of APC In Kano state, Murtala Garo, had accused Alhassan Ado-Doguwa of physically attacking him at a meeting, an allegation the Majority Leader of the House has come out to deny vehemently.
Honourable Doguwa speaking at this news conference said his coming out is to further dispel the accusation and state his own side of the story.
Mr Doguwa who is fifth term member of the House of Representatives alleges Murtala Garo is a mole working for the opposition PDP in APC
Mr Doguwa says there is fire on the mountain in Kano for the APC, calling on its leadership to do something fast.
He denies having any grudge against Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and affirms his loyalty and support fro the Governor.
But he warns that the simmering crisis may consume the party in the state if not immediately checked
He wants the party to wade into the crisis in view of the population of voters in the state and its Strategic importance.
