The Magistrate court sitting in Zuba has resumed hearing on the criminal assault case instituted against the senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo.
At the resumed sitting, the prosecutor informed the court that, they do not have any more witnesses to call and wish to close their case.
Counsel to the defendant urged the court for an adjournment to enable them file their no case submission in the matter.
The Nigerian police had filed a two count charge of criminal force and assault against the Senator , which is contrary to section 262,263 and 264 of the penal code.
The senator allegedly slapped the complainant, a nursing mother forcefully without provocation at a Shop in Abuja.
The Court adjourned to 12th March for adoption of no case submission.
