Governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, said implementation of the National Livestock Transformation programme will soon commence in Adamawa, Plateau and Nasarawa states.
He disclosed this to State House Correspondents in Abuja on Tuesday.
Umahi is the chairman of the sub-committee raised by the National Economic Council to look at ways to find lasting solutions to the frequent clashes between farmers and herders in Nigeria.
The National Livestock Transformation Programme, NLTP is the NEC’s approved plan to address the problem.
In the implementation plan, only states willing to contribute land for grazing reserves and other facilities will participate.
