Ondo state governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu says he will do everything possible to surpass the achievements recorded by the state Governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
He said this at courtesy call on Governor Mimiko in Akure.
TVC’s Ayodeji Moradeyo reports that Ondo state Governor-elect, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led members of his team on a courtesy visit to the Governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko.
The visit which came three weeks after the conduct of the state Governorship election, gave the Governor-elect an opportunity to discuss some transition issues with Governor Mimiko.
Akeredolu who used the forum to commend Governor Mimiko’s performance in government, said he is ready to continue with his works.
He said he intends to surpass the achievements recorded by Mimiko in his eight years reign as governor.
He described his victory at the poll as divine and historic.
On his part, Governor Mimiko promised to put in place a seamless transition programme to usher in Akeredolu’s administration.
He was quick to add that the transition programme would be a model for other states in Nigeria.
Akeredolu will be sworn as the 6th democratically elected Governor of Ondo state on February 24, 2017.
