The acquisition of entrepreneurial skills is fundamental to tackling the problems of unemployment in Nigeria.
This is why government at all levels is being called upon to create enabling platforms that will attract interest in skill acquisition and entrepreneurial ventures.
This was the underlining message at a skill acquisition programme in Lagos that had more than two hundred individuals emerging with skills in different fields.
The National Directorate of Employment in partnership with Saint Michaels Catholic church, Ketu provided the platform for the training.
They argued that if the country is to overcome the current economic recession, Nigerians must aspire to be self sufficient by being less import dependent.
Some of the graduands were of the opinion that the promotion of entrepreneurial skills would prompt Jobs creation which would essentially aid in reducing poverty in Nigeria.
