At least one person has been killed in a fire outbreak that occurred at the Obalende area in Lagos State Friday evening.
The inferno began when a petrol tanker belonging to the NNPC tipped over before bursting into flames near a filling station.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency confirmed the death of one person with many people securing varying degrees of injuries.
Firemen worked hard to control the inferno from spreading to buildings in the neighbourhood.
This is the second time this week that a petrol station in Lagos was gutted by fire.
