Flood has ravaged the military base in Malam Fatori local council of Borno state.
Malam Fatori lies close to Komadougou Yobe river and the shores of Lake Chad a border with Chad and the Niger Republic.
The flood menace has added to the harsh desert conditions which the soldiers are braving under to battle the Islamic State fighters.
Sources say Troops in the town are known for their remarkable bravery in resisting persistent attacks from Islamic State West Africa Province fighters who are deploying various types of weapons including improvised explosive devices, mortars, rocket-propelled grenades and gun trucks.
