The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria, SMEDAN, hopes the amendment to the laws establishing it will enable it help more businesses.
The agency’s Director General, Dikko Radda, says the amendment process is on course and hopes it will soon be concluded.
The modified law will enable the agency seek funding from sources outside government.
Inadequate financing has been a major setback limiting Smedan’s operation in growing small businesses in the country.
Radda was speaking on the sidelines of a capacity building programme for artisans in the Nigerian capital.
