Ondo state workers led by leaders of the organized labour unions have protested and picketed office of the state Accountant General, Federick Ajibokun to enforce the payment of their salary before Christmas celebration.
The labour unions also disrupted transactions at Alagbaka main branch of a new generation bank for colliding with the state accountant general to frustrate payment of salary to workers.
The workers who insisted that the accountant-general would not leave the office until their salary is paid, accused the Accountant General of abusing his office by paying his retirement benefits twenty four hours before retirement.
The workers lamented that it was an act of wickedness for the outgoing accountant general and the bank officials to deliberately refuse to pay workers four days after the state government had paid the salaries.
But the accountant general exonerated himself from the allegation, blaming the bank for the delay in the payment of the salary.
