Two hundred and sixty nine Nigerians stranded in India due to the covid-19 pandemic have been evacuated.
Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, confirmed this on her verified twitter handle.
She said one hundred and three of them arrived in Lagos while the remaining one hundred and sixty six landed in Abuja today.
The evacuees were tested before departing India to ascertain their covid-19 status and their results came back negative.
They have been placed on the compulsory fourteen-day self isolation.
