Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Saturday was screened by the PDP Screening Committee to participate in the Edo State Primary election scheduled for Thursday June 25, 2020
Earlier, in a tweet, Governor Obaseki said he was being screened.
“I am currently being screened by the @OfficialPDPNig Screening Committee to participate in the Edo State Primary election scheduled for June 25, 2020,” he wrote.
Governor Obaseki’s screening comes a day after he picked his expression of interest and nomination forms at the party’s national office ahead of the September 19 governorship election.
He had resigned from the APC earlier in the week and joined the PDP on Friday.
Godwin Obaseki is up against three other aspirants for the governorship ticket. They are Gideon Ikhine, Ogbeide Ihama, and Kenneth Imansuagbon.
