Former Governor of Kano State and the Presidential Candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party, Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has commended Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and the Governors of the G-5 Group within the Peoples Democratic Party.
Dr Kwankwaso who was speaking in the Rivers State capital while commissioning a flyover and township roads constructed by the Nyesom Wike administration in Mgbuitanwo.
The Former Minister of Defence commended Governor Nyesom Wike for his developmental strides in the State.
He also described the Governor and Other Governors within the G-5 group as men of honour for leading the Integrity group within the ranks of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He added that the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, was one of the few Leaders of his former Party who attempted to prevent his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party.
He said Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Samuel Ortom of Benue and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State have taken a courageous step to right the wrongs within the PDP by leading the Integrity Group.
For his part, the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, commended Dr Kwankwaso describing him as a man of honour who has left his mark positively in the annals of the Country.
He added that he will continue to extend his hands of fellowship to all men of goodwill across the Country.
He also promised to support the Presidential campaign of the Former Kano State governor and Federal Lawmaker with Logistics in Rivers State.
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and Other members of the Integrity group within the Peoples Democratic Party have been at loggerheads with the leadership of the party following the aftermath of the Presidential primary of the party that led to the emergence of the former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The group had alleged that the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, and the Presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar, have been unfair and lack transparency in their dealings.
