Kogi State Governor and National Youth Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress’s Presidential Campaign Council, Yahaya Bello, says Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the party’s Presidential candidate, is seeking to serve and lead Nigeria to sustainable development and Prosperity.
Governor Yahaya Bello who was Speaking to TVC News’s Olajumoke Olatunji, on the maiden Edition of the Programme Politics Tonight, said the party’s Presidential Candidate, Senator Tinubu has the vision to lead the nation to greatness.
He added that Asiwaju Tinubu has shown over the years that he has an eye for talent, quality, stuff and Leadership culminating in his mentoring of Youth and Leaders across the length and Breadth of Nigeria and even around the World.
He said the illusion that some other candidates have the support of the Youth is gradually being shattered as events unfold as the Election draws nearer.
He said the party has the support of the Youth as shown in some of the walks, rallies and movement seen in recent weeks.
He disclosed his readiness to be at forefront of the vanguard to ensure the victory of the party’s Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Senator Kashim Shettima in the 2023 Presidential Election.
He also advised the Youth to look beyond all the unnecessary noise on Social media and follow the man with a vision to lead, serve and mentor.
“We are talking about the issue of Nigerian Youth and another party flagbearer enjoying the support of some Youth, Yes, quite okay. I appreciate the fact that Nigerian youth today are waking up, we are politically conscious and ready to take the bull by the horn, beginning with my contest and of course, losing to the champion, our leader and the master tactician.
First of all, our leader has an ego eye for quality, for staff, for standard, for success, for victory. And that was why he appointed me. I haven’t seen how much support I’ll galvanize across the country and of course, with my support and successes as far as the state administration is concerned in various forms. And we share the same view, same philosophy. And if you recall, my mantra was Hope 2023. And today we have our leader renewing that hope for 2023.
Talking of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bola Ahmed Tinubu today is a household name, He is not seeking to be popular, he is seeking to serve. He is seeking to replicate the successes, the achievements, the movement that he has brought about in terms of politics, administration, management of human and other resources, including finances, that he was able to bring Lagos from where it was in 99 to where it is today.
He is simply seeking to come and mentor with the younger generations. More. Take a look at all the candidates that we have today who have been able to mentor younger generations across border, not only in Lagos alone, not only in Southwest, but across Nigeria and even beyond.
So we, the younger generation see that quality in him. And with my support, with the support of God Almighty best of all and that thing, that quality, that stuff, that good governance that Nigerians yearned for, for years, for decades we have seen that our leader, our presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tulubu and Kashim Shettima are going to bring it on board.
Looking at the background of all of the candidates, you know surely that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu towers high, tower high than any other one. Yes, we talk of the other candidates. Yes, we know that certain movement is more or less like “Endsars’ movement. And at the wee hours of that ‘Endsars’ movement i did caution the younger generation, the way and manner they were going about their agitation, they may not have anything out of it. And I have been vindicated.
I was the only governor that addressed them openly three times. I made a broadcast cautioning them and seeking that they get a proper leadership. And if that is the same manner that some of my brothers, you know, are taking this their own movement, I think I would rather ask them to have a rethink.
Ever since I was appointed, you discover that other people have lost steam. Look at the various movements so far, or walks or rallies that have been conducted so far. We’re just testing the Microphone.
Look at lLagos led by Shei Tulpu himself, the son of our candidates. Look at Kano, look at various other pockets of walks and rallies by Nigerian youth and Nigerian people for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, irrespective of whatever, you know, talk in the social media, attack in the media of our leader.
We believe in him 100%. And I have decided to stick my neck. I have decided to stick my integrity, I have decided to stick my all to pull all the Nigerian Youth, to galvanize the Nigerian Youth for this great Nigeria that we are seeing ahead of us that will be led by Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the next president and Kashim Shettima, the next vice president of the Federal of Nigeria”.
