The Lagos State Government says it will continue to synergise with all stakeholders to enhance and improve on the State’s Security Architecture.
Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund, Mr Abdulrazaq Balogun disclosed this while speaking on the TVC News’s Breakfast Show with Mike Okwoche and Sam Omatseye.
Mr Balogun says the foundation of the Security Architecture in Lagos State is cooperation between the State Government, the Police Service Commission and Other Stakeholders allowing for the supply of the right equipment to the various security agencies in the State.
According to him the issue of Security has never been one the State Government shirks away from or delegates to anybody.
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund according to Mr Balogun was a result of the planning, vision and policy of the State to develop in a manner that is sustainable.
On the 16th Annual Townhall Meeting on Security between the State Government, Security Agencies and Other Stakeholders slated for Thursday on the Lagos Island, Mr Balogun, says this is part of the constant engagement that the State needs to be involved in to get the issue of Security of the over 20 Million residents right.
He describes the kind of engagement that the Lagos State annual townhall on Security provides as the foundation upon which the prosperity of Lagos State has been built upon for the past few years.
While responding to the issue of the Security situation he asks rhetorically the last time anybody heard about the once rampant cases of Bank Robbery, house robbery and highway robberies.
He however says the Security situation is one that will continue to improve with constant engagement by the State Government and Stakeholders.
He discloses that Lagos State Government will continue to make the needed funds available through the State Security Trust Fund for the deployment of technology to enhance Security within the State.
He posits that the Lagos State Security outfit is the best in the Country without any exception and that the architecture created in the State has been a priority of government since the return of Democracy in 1999.
