Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has maintained that the People’s Democratic Party at the national level was embroiled in the current crises because of the inability of the party’s leadership to deploy internal conflict resolution mechanisms to solve its problems.Governor Ortom disclosed this while presiding over the PDP State Campaign Council and Campaign Management Committee strategic meeting in Makurdi.
The Governor used the opportunity to clarify to state party members causes of the crisis. He warned members against distorting the peace and unity of the party in the state, saying the party remains committed to retaining the gubernatorial seat come 2023.
The Governor also distributed campaign vehicles which he believes will enhance movement and other logistics as the party embarks on intensive campaigns and mobilisations in the state ahead of next year’s polls.
