Members of the Association of Resident Doctors working in all Federal Medical Centers in Lagos State has called on the federal government to look into the irregularities in the health sector as it concern the resident doctors work policy or risk having the doctors embark on an indefinite industrial action.
Executives of the association from Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital and the National Hospital at Igbogbi in a chat with health journalists complain about the withdrawal of Resident doctors from the pension scheme and non payment of salaries as well as the suspension of training for the resident doctors.
The doctors noted that a 21 day ultimatum given to the federal government expired on 2nd January.
