Court of Appeal Sokoto division has struck out a suit filed by Senator Adamu Alero of the People’s Democratic Party, Kebbi State chapter.
Senator Alero is challenging the decision of Federal High Court over party primary election.
Delivering judgment, Justice Mohammed Danjuma, upheld the Justice Babagana Ashigar of Federal High Court Birnin Kebbi’s judgement that produced Haruna Sa’idu as PDP candidate.
The respondents are Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall that Justice Ashigar on Sept. 27, 2022, upheld the primary election that produced Haruna Sa’idu as authentic senatorial candidate for Kebbi Central seat.
The appeal Court Judge said he perused all the arguments presented by different Counsel, citations of court judgments and other judicial considerations and arrived at the decision.
He said the eight appeal grounds were considered, thereby dismissed the suit based on lacked of merits and uphold the lower court judgment.
