Senator Ahmed Lawan representing Yobe North in the Senate has been appointed the leader of the upper legislative chamber, replacing Senator Ali Ndume.
Our National Assembly Correspondent, Sumner Sambo reports that Lawan’s emergence followed his appointment as leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate Caucus.
The APC caucus in a letter which was transmitted to the Senate today (Tuesday, 9th January) has Senator Ahmed Lawan of Yobe North as the new Senate Leader.
The decision according to the APC caucus was arrived at during the party’s last night meeting.
