Lagos state governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says he is running for re-election in office for the fourth coming 2023 gubernatorial
election based on his records of achievements since 2019 when he was sworn in .
Governor Sanwo-Olu made this known while speaking at the unveiling of the brand campaign ‘a greater Lagos Rising Heralding the start of the 2023 special re-election campaign of his joint ticket with the Deputy Governor Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat.

Sanwo-Olu said the theme of his second term campaign reinforced continuity of his achievements in first term. He said the idea of “Greater Lagos Rising” captured the passion and resilience of young creative citizens toiling to change the story of the State in music, movies, fashion, sports, manufacturing and technological innovations.
The Governor said renewal of his mandate would further strengthen his administration’s resolve to scale up efficiency of his development blueprint, known as THEMES Agenda, and unlock more socio-economic opportunities for hardworking residents.
A multi-dimensional roadshow was used as awareness for governor Sanwo-Olu second term bid.
The commissioner for information and strategy Gbenga Omotoso who spoke on behalf of the governor said pretty thin of the 2003 re-election campaign of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dr Obafemi Hamzat shall be greater Lagos Rising.

The Governor explained the essence of yellow as dominant colour in the campaign materials, noting that the shade symbolised the energy, youthfulness, enthusiasm, optimism and happiness which are common expressions among Lagos residents.
The brand color also included a misty blend, which was meant to represent the State’s attributes of warmth, transition, freedom, and pleasure.
According to Sanwo-Olu, all of the colors chosen collectively reflected the State’s perseverance to continue on the path of progress, despite being hit by the global COVID-19 pandemic.
