Unknown Gunmen has murdered a man identified as Babatunde Adeluka Olubasa in a popular hotel in Ijapo area of Akure, Ondo state capital .
He was shot dead inside the hotel premises where he lodged on December 26.
It was gathered that Mr. Babatunde was trailed to the hotel by three armed men after attending a function in Akure.
He was shot dead at the bar of the hotel where he relaxed to take a drink.
Spokesman of the state police command, Tee-Leo Ikoro, said it was a case of assassination.
Mr. Ikoro said the state Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, has ordered full scale investigation into the killing.
Staffers of the hotel have fled for fear of being arrested after the murder of a businessman by suspected assassins.
