The Nigerian Army has confirmed the killing of six Boko Haram insurgents and three soldiers after a battle in Borno state.
Army spokesman, Brigadier General Sani Usman said in a statement that the troops suffered the casualties after an encounter with insurgents in Damboa local government area of Borno state.
Three soldiers paid the supreme price, while 5 others were wounded . Similarly, 1 Mine-Resistant, Ambush-Protected vehicle belonging to the Brigade is now badly damaged.
The troops also recovered a Gun Truck from the fleeing Boko Haram members.
