The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has re-arraigned a former Commander of the Military Joint Task Force in the Niger Delta, Retired Major General Emmanuel Atewe for an alleged eight point five billion naira fraud.
Atewe was re-arraigned for a third time by the EFCC on a 22 count charge alongside a former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Patrick Akpobolokemi and two others.
Their arraignment took place at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Friday, before Justice Ayokunle Faji.
This followed the transfer of the previous judge, Justice Saliu Saidu from the Lagos division of the court, to the Port Harcourt division.
The case was adjourned until February the 13th and 17th, for trial to begin afresh.
