President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday laid the wreath at the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade.
The event took place at the Three Arms Zone, Abuja.
Every January 15 is celebrated in Nigeria as Armed Forces Remembrance day to honour fallen heroes.
The first military coup took place in Nigeria on January 15 1966.
