The Borno Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it arrested over 500 suspected drug traffickers and about 17,000 kg of illicit drugs in 2020, across the North Eastern states, which is the largest seizure in years
The state Commandant of the NDLEA Joseph Icha while speaking to TVC News disclosed that the command also seized the sum of N1,940,600 from drug dealers in the state.

According to the Commandant the command has arrested 544 suspects and convicted 9 persons who are engaged in trafficking illicit drugs.
Joseph Icha called on Residents of the state to abstain from consumption of illicit drugs as the command would not spare anyone found wanting.
