The Academic Staff Union of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede has passed a ‘vote of no confidence’ on the Rector of the institution, John Adekolawole, for alleged corrupt practices and maladministration.
Addressing Journalists shortly after it’s monthly Congress, the union vowed not to resume academic activities until their demands are met.
At the meeting which lasted for more than nine hours, the ASUP members insisted that a visitation panel be set-up to investigate all the allegations against the Rector while an acting Rector is appointed to run the affairs of the Polytechnic. pic.twitter.com/6JhVfrCyot
