Elected Councillors in the 16 Local Government Areas of Ekiti State have held a joint public sitting on the main road in Ado Ekiti to demonstrate their solidarity with Governor Ayo Fayose.
The PDP Councillors representing the 177 wards of the state came into office in December 2015 in the Council Poll boycotted by the main opposition party in the state-APC.
The council lawmakers also passed a vote of confidence on the factional State Chairman of their party Gboyega Oguntuase who was sacked by a court judgment last month.
After the sitting, the Councillors staged a road show through the city centre to the PDP State Secretariat.
