The major duty of the Nigeria military is to protect the territorial integrity of the country.
But the military has also cultivated the habit of giving back to the society, through community services.
The 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure, Ondo State, demonstrated this by renovating a block of classroom at the Owena Community Grammar School.
Inaugurating the project, the Commander of the Brigade, Brigadier-General Muktahar Adamu said the brigade will continue to improve on peace and security in Ondo and Ekiti States.
Brigadier-General Adamu promised that the brigade will provide adequate security for the people, during the Christmas and New year festivities.
The Commander, who also presented education materials to the school, said the military will continue to wage war against insecurity in whatever guise.
In his response, the Oloja of Owena, Oba Akinduro Gbadega thanked the army for the kind gesture.
