The Nigerian government says its whistle-blower policy, in recovering looted funds has made the country 151 million dollars, and 8 billion Naira richer.
And that is besides the more than 9 million dollars recovered from a building allegedly owned by a former Chief of state oil company, NNPC.
In a press release today, the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed says the moneys were recovered from just three sources:
137 million dollars from an account in a commercial bank; 7 billion Naira and 15 million dollars from another person; and a billion Naira from yet another.
He wants YOU to provide useful information you might have, on looted funds.
Don’t forget the pledge of confidentiality, and a reward of between 2.5% and 5% of the total amount recovered.
