The former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress has challenged the Edo state government to make Public, facts of alleged debt accrued to the state during his term as governor of the state.
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole made the call at the Party’s Presidential and Senatorial campaign rally in Benin city, the Edo State Capital.
Less than three months before the 25th of February election, the All progressive congress in Edo says it’s unrelenting in it’s efforts to go all out to canvass votes as they continue to engage the people through political rallies across the state.
Now, members, leaders and supporters of the party have converged on the University of Benin, Ekhenwan campus, venue of the rally with the sole aim of selling their candidates.
They assure the people of the Party’s continuous Commitment to their wellbeing while calling on them to ensure they vote for the Party in the forthcoming general election.
For the former national chairman and Senatorial candidate, he shifted his attention on the issue of indebtedness which has generated a number of controversies in recent times.
He accused the state government of misleading the people on the issue.
The move to recapture Edo state is one assignment the APC seem to be leaving no stone unturned even when the PDP are hellbent on retaining the state come 2023.
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who was also the former Governor of Edo State between 2009 and 2016 handed over the reigns of the State to the Current Governor Godwin Noneghase Obaseki after a hard fought victory over the Peoples Democratic Party in that year’s election in the State.
The duo thereafter had a major falling out which led to the suspension of Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Party by members in his ward in Edo State which was swiftly followed by his removal as the party’s national Chairman.
The Governor also later lost his membership of the All Progressives Congress in the State and prosecuted his Re-election as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.
