The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has donated 50 Million naira to cushion the effect of bandits attacks on residents of Birnin Gwari Community in Kaduna State.
The donation was announced during his visit to the palace of the Emir of Birnin Gwari ahead of the presidential campaign rally which will be held at Ahmadu Bello stadium.
The monarch who appreciated Asiwaju Tinubu for being the first Presidential Candidate to be visiting the community used the occasion to turban the former Governor of Lagos as the Dakaren Birnin Gwari, meaning the one who is fearless and courageous. Governor Nasir Elrufai was also turbaned as Sadaukin Birnin Gwari.
Asiwaju Tinubu was accompanied by the governors of Kano, Jigawa, Kebbi and Plateau states together with some members of the APC presidential campaign council, party Chieftains and senior government officials.
The presidential flagbearer of the ruling party assured the people of Birnin Gwari that he will tackle the problems of insecurity, road infrastructure decay, agriculture, education and other challenges in the area.
He appealed to them to vote for APC for his administration to be able to fulfil the promise of bringing development to Nigeria.
The road leading to the community is one of the most attacked by bandits in the area, which has led to many residents deserting nearby villages and the federal road.
