Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, AbdulRasheed Bawa says the antigraft agency so far has recovered more than N30 billion out of the N109 billion allegedly diverted by the suspended Accountant-General of the Federation, Idris Ahmed, has been recovered.
Mr Bawa disclosed this while appearing at the Ministerial Media Briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday.

He also revealed that over 3,615 convictions were recorded within the period, affirming that the administration is serious about its anti-corruption programme.
Bawa who shared the Commission’s achievements from January to December 2022, added that they’ve recovered a total of $121 million as part of asset forfeited to the federal government.
The EFCC boss announced that the nationwide auction of forfeited automobiles will be followed by the disposal of over 150 houses to interested buyers.
He also disclosed that the EFCC is still interested in the alleged 7.1 billion naira fraud against the former governor of Abia state and chief whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
The EFCC Chairman also reeled out the achievements of the commission since he was appointed to steer the affairs of the agency.
